Community First Health Centers currently has a Medical Assistant opportunity available at our Homeless Health Care/Mobile Medical Unit.
The ideal candidate for this role will be enthusiastic, motivated and a team player.
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, you'll support the medical clinic operations by rooming patients, taking vitals and administering injections.
This position will be located out of our New Haven, MI medical facility located at 555 St.
Clair River Drive, Algonac, MI.
Community First Health Centers require all team members, including temps, contractors, interns, residents, students, etc.

Daily responsibilities of our Medical Assistant may include:
Greet and room patient(s) Manage supplies of patient rooms Chart tracking of all records using an electronic medical records (EMR) system & MCIR Conduct daily patient education and distribution of educational materials Administering injections & immunizations Autoclave/sterilize and maintain all instruments Practice infection control standards at all times Perform basic lab/x-ray procedures as necessary Conduct patient referrals and pre-authorizations as directed Assist physician with all processes and procedures Attend and participate in required continuing education, meeting(s) and in-service(s) as required Other duties as assigned We have been providing health care services through our nation's health center program since 1975.
We service Macomb and St.
Clair counties with offices in Algonac, New Haven & Port Huron.

Equal Opportunity Employer POSITION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent Certificate of completion from a recognized Medical Assistant program Certification as a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire Relevant work experience in a medical center preferred but will train new graduates Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, to effectively and tactfully deal with a diverse group of patients, staff, customers and community groups General computer proficiency Must maintain Basic Life Support certification Job Type:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
